The Inaugural Emily's Run 2007 was initiated by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Click the link above to read more about it.

On September 27, 2006, more than 100 law enforcement personnel from agencies throughout the west metro area – representing tactical teams, incident commanders, victim advocates and investigators – responded to Platte Canyon High School. These same people have joined forces with The "I Love U Guys" Foundation to remember Emily and to raise money for The Foundation's philanthropic efforts.

The Park County Sheriff's Office hosted the ER::5K - Emily's Run this year, on September 27, 2008, the anniversary date of the shooting. There was a good turnout for this first-time memorial Run, which was open for everyone to participate.

Proceeds will be distributed responsibly and effectively toward the stated goals of The "I Love U Guys" Foundation.

• The ER::5K - Emily's Run proceeds will be used in part to fund the National School Safety Collaborative, a program being developed by The "I Love U Guys" Foundation. A portion of the proceeds will also go to Bailey-area programs which support children and families. Please see Our Actions for information.
